Fringe vs Twilight 4

Plot: Also called storyline. the plan, scheme, or main story of a literary or dramatic work, as a play, novel, or short story. [link]

A good plot weaves many elements together into one fluid compelling story in which you can make a guess at what will happen, and sometimes be right. A bad plot in a simple predictable story where more than one person can predict what exactly will happen next and be write on the dot.

Seriously. I can't tell you how many times I've heard various people tell me they predicted something that was going to happen in Twilight and five minutes later they read that exact same thing. And with all the fans blabbering about it, sometimes you don't even need to have ever touched it to know what its about.

From episode one of Fringe I never would have thought we'd be dealing with an alternate universe, and while I was waiting for Peter/Olivia to happen I never expected the current love triangle, yet I can still trace back to that first episode easily.

As for this shot...The Weapon, built by the First People, millions of years before dinosaurs roamed the Earth, and uniquely tuned to only respond to one person. Peter Bishop. We've been hinted at that Peter is 'important' since the first time we met The Observer, yet until now we haven't know just how important. Peter's choice will destroy one of the two universes, and we have no idea which he'll choose since he has feelings for both Olivias.

The fact alone that the weapon responds to Peter brings up a lot of questions which lead us deeper into the plot of Fringe. How is Peter connected to the weapon when the weapon was built so long ago? Do the Observers have something to do with it? Which Olivia will he choose? Is there a third universe? Are there hundreds of Universes?

Fringe hasn't ceased to amaze me since episode one, and I have full confidence that it won't disappoint me anytime soon.
