This is a pic I promised for my fanfic series that starts with "The Princess and the Dragon" [link] this is specifically the nightmare Nancy has in "Lies that Kill" [link] which takes place between the final two chapters of TPATD.

For those of you who haven't read my fics you'll need some a bit of an explanation for this... The Princess and The Dragon takes place pre-2010 movie and from Freddy's perspective. I mixed the characterization of original!Freddy and Remake!Freddy, with the idea that he's the 'son of one-hundred maniacs', I expand on this a little bit by having Freddy suffer from multiple personality disorder, resulting in what me and my readers have dubbed, "Nice!Freddy" and "Evil!Freddy". TPATD follows Freddy's struggles to realize his condition and a brief confrontation between the two personalties leading to his murder and ending with a flash to the future where Nice!Freddy is 'dead' while Evil!Freddy is the one we know from the movie. Evil!Freddy has captured Nancy and plans to keep her forever.

As I said this pic, is from Lies that Kill, which is from Gwen's perspective after the murder of Freddy, and she comes home and finds Nancy having a nightmare.

The final(? You never know what will happen) installment in this fic series is "Fairy Tales" [link] It continues right where TPATD left off, starting with Nancy being raped by Evil!Freddy. The rest of the fic has each chapter based off a different fairy tale (Hence the title) and a different memory Nancy has from preschool. Just as it seems Nancy is doomed to be trapped as Evil!Freddy's sex toy for the rest of eternity, guess who she starts to remember, and thus revive?

As for the picture, I spent a week on this. As with [link] the tricky part was getting all the strange shadows and highlights that fire creates. But in difference to Personal Demons, I also was trying to give the background a darkish, dream-like atmosphere.

Just as lineart this picture wasn't very impressive, and I had to work really hard to be satisfied with how the separate profiles of Nice!Freddy and Evil!Freddy, plus Little Nancy's portrait in the front sort of blur with the main picture. I'm really happy with how devastated and terrified Nancy looks, just how I was aiming, I her tears sorta disappeared with all the shadows and highlights. Nice!Freddy is supposed to be crying too, but I'm pretty sure his tears did. I also wanted to make him look like he's determined to take down his evil counter part even though it means his own life in the process. Evil!Freddy I made look as evil and pissed off as I possibly could. Mission accomplished?

Some of the details on the two Freddys in the center aren't easy to see, but If you look closely you'll see that I actually have them burning in the same places. The fire on Evil!Freddy's back is hardest to see since the flames all sort of blend together, but their both burning on the right leg, and Evil!Freddy has the flame on his left cheek. I tried to include the fire on the left side of Nice!Freddy's face, but its still hidden since its not the side that's showing.

Whoo, that's a lot of writing. Well I hope you enjoy the picture, and if you haven't read the fics that go with, I and my readers (who all love them) encourage you to.
